An Excuse to Wear Extra Sweet Colors

Hello my loves,

Do you know what month it is? Do you? Yes, of course I am sure you do, and if you forgot or don’t really care what month it is, I am going to spout it out, well type it really, for you. It is February! Oh my goodness, I love this month. It starts out with a cute, season predicting groundhog named Punxsutawney Phil, and ends on a different date every four years, which of course adds a hint of variation. February also is the home month to Valentine’s Day! Goodness, I love going to the store and seeing all the pinks and purples and sparkles and little sweets fill up the shelves, it is quite pretty, I believe. I also think that means February means I can load up on sugary sweet colors in my outfits, but really I could and will all the time anywho.

To welcome the month of sweethearts and red roses I am wearing a pink hat on top of my head. Of course I have to wear pink, and because it is cold out, I mean it is February, why not wear a hat when you can? That is how I like to think. Of course there is no need to if you aren’t a hat lover as well. Then right on my feet are pink flats. There I have pink mixed into my outfit in the accessories, simple, however I have a Valentine’s Day color right in my outfit and it definitely adds to the sugar colored look.

Can you tell I am happy? Oh sweet February, I love you. 🙂

Then I had to wear tights, because it is cold, you know? I think polka dots are surely a “sweet” print that is romantic and cute, which is why I put on a black and white polka dot dress. I topped off the outfit with a white cardigan with a lacey pattern on the front, which is just one more added “sweet” detail. Pearls on my neck and pearls in my ears complete the February outfit in a “sweet” way.

Polka, polka, polka dots, they certainly rock. 🙂

Did you notice that the shades of pink in my hat and shoes are different? That is totally fine. Flowers are beautiful and they come in multiple shades all in one bouquet! 🙂

I love loving people and animals and flowers and everything in between, but you know who else I certainly love? I love God and I love Jesus, and I know for certain they both love us! Isn’t that a lovely feeling?

Romans 5:8 NIV –  “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Have a lovely and sweet month and Valentine’s Day, my friends!

-Molly Marie 🙂
