Hello, Hello folks,
Are you enjoying springtime? The sunny days, the blooming flowers, and of course the stormy nights, are making me smile. Lately, I am becoming more and more hopeful about everything in life. I consider myself a hopeful person, but it has become easier these past few weeks. I believe that comes from my faith. I have been a bit weary of how to go about just about every decision these last several months, but through prayer I have become less stressed and open to new possibilities. God has a plan, and I choose to trust it.
Whenever there are tough times or a lack of hope, find a way to stay smiley. Prayer helps me immensely. I also feel great just getting outside a bit. The smell of the fresh breeze and the passing of cute ducks and chipmunks, brightens up my day so much.
Now the color lavender is certainly a fresh color for spring, don’t you think? I think so, so I chose this outfit based around a happy, and refreshing lilac skirt. Full circle skirts are always adorable, and this one has a big bow. Bows add extra cuteness. The weather is still a bit chilly at times so I added a white cardigan with a lace detailing to give a little more dimension.

I am also wearing not one, but two necklaces! Why two? Why not? Two necklaces means more sparkle and shine. My smaller necklace is a gold and pearl bow. Bows go with anything. Also, because I am wearing two necklaces I chose to have one shorter and one longer so each could be seen clearly in this instance. Chunky and overlapping necklaces are fun too, but for this outfit, it seemed that delicate and tinier pieces kept to the “fresh” spring feel best. The second necklace is a classic strand of pearls. Pearls of course don my ears as well, because not only do they match both necklaces, they go with absolutely anything. Anything!

Hats are my friend, so I took the opportunity to keep the spring colors and sat a pink cloche hat with more bow detailing upon my head. Bows are the major accessory addition in this outfit. My shoes are nude with short heals and my tights are nude-ish and keep my legs warm.

Now while this picture was taken toward the end of winter time, I still thought spring was on it’s way so it was absolutely fine for me to get in the spring mood with this apparel. To be honest, I would wear this in a blizzard anyway, but of course it definitely has that spring feel with the pastel hues.

I hope you find a way to stay smiley. God has a plan, and in moments of stress, remembering his love and path for us, is definitely a beautiful and calm thought.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.“
Have a smiley day!
Molly Marie 🙂
