How are you doing? I wanted to post about sin today. I have been struggling myself in many areas lately, I don’t know where to move, where to go, and honestly I don’t know what is holding me back. Though, I have God who is helping me.
One thing that I never want to hold me back is my past sins.
Sin is bad. Sin is wrong. We should NEVER strive to sin, or sin because “we can” and are forgiven. No, we need to strive to AVOID sin, and because of our God’s endless and everlasting love and Jesus Christ’s love for us, we ARE forgiven.
Sometimes there are moments out there in the world where certain sins are pointed out more profusely than other wrong doings. This to an extent can turn ridiculous depending on the context. A sin is a SIN!
Please, do not get me wrong. Yes of course some sins are far worse than others, however it is the word “sin” that still encapsulates many transgressions.
We all sin.
Ah, but the thing is, God knows it.
Our Lord God and Jesus Christ are perfect. None of us are perfect, no, not at all. Although, God loves us all perfectly anyway, knowing despite the wrongs we come across or partake in, he still loves us and he forgives us.
Do not be mistaken. The forgiveness that our Lord God and Jesus Christ have shown us is not an excuse to go around committing crimes. To try and live a kind, and good doing and NOT wrong doing life, a life where we are helping others and not hurting others for our gains, is the life I hope we all can strive for, want to strive for, and will strive for.
Nonetheless, sin can creep up on us. What we need to do is not give in. We need to turn to God and try not to let sin come back and ask for God’s forgiveness when we are covered in sin. God willingly gives us forgiveness all day long.
For my attire I am wearing a jumper. This makes it a whole lot easier to jump for joy when thinking of God and Jesus Christ’s love for us, as no worry will come from a dress possibly flying up and about.
While all of us fall short of living a sinless life, we can work hard everyday remembering God gave his one and only son, Jesus Christ, to forgive our sins and we can attempt every second to be good doers.
John 3:16 ESV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Have a lovely evening.
